It is great to see you posting Don. The economy seems to be hit hard everywhere at the moment, lets just hope that things will get better in the not too distant future.

One of the things which strikes me most about your paintings is your expertise with light and shadow, and this portrait is no exception. The painting is a masterpiece.

I just received your book, Don. It looks fabulous! (I'm in Karen Bonaker's Open Studio, and she just wrote that she'll be using your book somewhat in the latter two weeks of the session. (I'm guessing which chapters she'll go to.) Just flipping through the pages inspires me...

I am currently working through your Advanced Painter book trying to get up to speed with the program, the knowledge there is invaluable.

Presently I can't seem to paint with the same color and luminosity even though I use the same color pallete, I have the same problem in Pshop, but I just color correct at the end.

Any suggestions?

Beautiful and inspiring. Does warm weather make you paint more? Cold weather forces me to cozy up to my computer and not feel compelled to go outside. We just got about 3 feet of snow here in Central Virginia, the most in several decades.

Hope the economy thaws out too....
