    Re: A Quick Little Doodle

Love it!  I see a humming type bird flying over a small crowd who are being attending by someone mystical looking.

Wanted to add that my son says it is definitely a dragon

    Tina,

    Thanks!

It's been so fun to read the many interpretations of this little painting. Not one has been the same, though several people have said they see a bird.

Most of what people say they see (other than a bird) I can't see even if I'm able to get a feeling about why they see it.  Don't know if that makes sense, but nothing about this painting seems to make sense except I enjoyed painting it and, again, thoroughly enjoy learning what others see in it.

    Thanks, Gio!

I'm sorry you've not been able to install David's Suminagashi brush library. I don't have time now and probably won't for a while since the PainterFactory is taking up a lot of time right now, plus the series of tutorials at Painter Talk, but maybe I can help you sometime in the future.

Really, someone else who's installed them should be able to help. Have you tried e-mailing David Gell?

Great doodle. Love the spontaneity of these kinds of brush paintings. Like a whoosh of breath on the page.

    Hi suchin,

Nice to meet you, and welcome to the PainterFactory!

Thanks for your comments. I like the way you describe my little painting, "Like a whoosh of breath...". That's how I feel about these brush strokes too... and love David's Suminagashi brush library.

If you want, you can download the Suminagashi brush library on David's Brush Port site at:

    Brush Port - Brush Downloads

Check the other areas of David's site, too, for loads of other resources to download.

    Cheers!
