Best way to paint a Golf ball

I have been pulling out my hair trying to paint a golf ball. I have tried everything I can, and Im not able to get it to look right. I've seen ways of doing this in Photoshop, Does anyone know a way to do this, that can provide me a step by step directions. I would really appreciate the help.

    Thanks

    Hi Aimski,

You'll need to include a link for us to see your example.

    Lets try this

I know this is probably a photo, but I need to be able to do something like this and then be able to reproduce it several time in different sizes. Any help would be great.

    Thanks,
