    Confirmed Painter-A-Holic

I am a confirmed "Painter-A-Holic", gleefully addicted to Painter, pad & pen.

Been using Painter since it was born in Aptos, California.  I am always awe-inspired by the depth of this program.  I use it for everything:  my own fine art, website design, graphic design, instruction in using color, form and composition, etc.Mandy with Tile Frame

I'm including this piece that I created in Painter...started with a line drawing with using live model, Mandy.  I looked at the negative and liked it better than the positive.  then I had fun making it a bit more abstract and free-flowing.  I then created a bunch of kaleidoscopes based on the image.  I turned them all into "tiles", with a slightly off-white light source, and a slightly beveled edge, then arranged them around the image.  The final printed piece is 28 x 24", and the tiles really look like tiles.

    Fun Stuff!

    Welcome Linda!

I've always enjoyed reading how you create your images in Painter. It's been a lot of years we've been hooked on Painter, hasn't it? You have a few years on me, and about three versions, but we're equally addicted.

Your imagination and creativity, not to mention your adventuresome spirit, are so much fun and so inspiring.

Thanks for sharing this interesting piece. I'll bet it does look great printed large, with the tiles looking real. Thanks, as always, for explaining your process.

I hope we'll be seeing a lot of you around The PainterFactory!
