    Hi all from snowy NJ,

I want to print some paintings on canvas, stitch on them (that's my trademark) and then go back into them with acrylic paint. I'm going to coat them with clear gesso to make a ground for the paint. Has anyone done this and what kind of canvas are you printing on? Many of the inkjet canvases are too glossy for my tastes.

I have an Epson 7800 by the way.

    Thanks!

    Joanie

Re: Hi all from snowy NJ,

Affraid Im not much help as I dont have a wide format printer. Ive been planning on having work printed for me, on canvas. I have noticed a large number of "prints on canvas" for sale cheaply in retail shops. They all appear quite glossy as well. Im guessing here that to use a canvas with some tooth to it, it might be necessary to use a glicee' technique?
