    Hi Scala,

I guess it's no surprise that I love your Rorch'Arts of the Day posted today. Little piggy-person's mouth is especially delightful.

Thanks for sharing "Ze Dirty" here, too.

I wish you the very best in your pursuit to illustrate for children. As Suchin said, your work speaks to the child (as well as the "adult") in me. ;)

I love this one. The rich red is great. Ive got worn oil pastel in my "oils" custom palette. I've found it gives a better oil painting feel than some of the actual oil paints and this image to me could be either pastel or painting in its feel. Really nice work.

    Scala,

You've done a beautiful job with the red hair highlights, and the unique Van Gogh look (his facial expression). You definitely have a talent for capturing the subtleties of facial expression, delivering to us much more than the surface story.

Love that wide turned up collar. It adds to the feeling of mystery I often get looking at a Van Gogh self portrait.

In this thread, the word "delightful" keeps appearing and, for me, it's the single word that describes all of your work (though many equally positive words apply).

    Thanks, as always, for sharing.

     Going great guns Eric.

Each new addition just makes me want to throw down my up-tight work style and start splashing pixe;s about.  If it weren't for darned deadlines, I'd be putting my digital overalls to protect my clothes right now.

    Thanks for the inspiration

I am totally envious of your talent.  Jeez!  Keep 'em coming.

These just get better and better Eric.  Love the last two in particular.  Great to see them featured in CG Galleries as well - just as they deserve.
