Checking for updates says that SP1 is available, but when I go to install it nothing happens.  Is there an .exe file we can download?

When you say nothing happens... do you mean that you try to install and it doesn't work?  Or are you manually going to Check for Updates and nothing happens?

No, there is an application that starts (I watch it in task manager...) and as soon as I click on "install now" the application termninates.  It doesn't seem to matter whether or not Painter is running or not.  If it has actually downloaded the file, I can't seem to find it.

I found in under help>check for updates.  There is an install application that starts, but then terminates when clicking on 'install now'.  I guess the file actually isn't ready just yet, or there is something specific with my machine.

I don't know whether I am supposed to post here or not, but here goes. :)

I also checked on the corel site and the only update showing there for P12 is the one for Mac, BUT if you open Painter 12 and click help/ check for updates, it will find the update for you, just click where it says more information in the window that comes up.

Thanks Claudia for that info.  Actually when clicking on info gives the option to install, and that's where it terminates.  However, the service pack is now on the patches and updates site.  Installed well, and seems much quicker.
