Hi

I'm working on MacOS X Leopard and I've found strange behaviour of Painter 9.5 but it's the same at Painter X (trial). I'm living in Poland and some times need to use Text tool with polish fonts. As I work with (British keybord) I have access to all fonts on my Mac, but when I change to Polish keybord they all just disapear, and I can chosse none of them, even this without Polish signs (have blank space in menu). Then when I try to use Text tool again it changes keyboard preferences again back to British one. It's strange because this fonts (installed with Leopard) are working with all other apps on my Mac, but Painter :/.

Pleas, can anybody check if have the same problem? This issue makes MAC version of Painter nearly useless for my work.

One more thing: I remember that this problem was also with Painter IX (WinXP) before 9.1 or 9.5 update (can't remember which one). On startup Painter had been changing keyboard preferences form currently used to "EN" and also when I changed keyboard back to usually used a "ctr+z" shortcut had not been working - using Text tool used to change keyboard to "EN" just like now on OS X. As I said this issue have been solved for Win users with 9.1 or 9.5 update, but for MAC users it's still there :/.

Mac OS - 10.5.3 (before 10.5.2 - but it's still the same problem and I don't think thats OS problem, because Win have had the same)

Yes, it's very exasperating :/.
I bought MBP because I've been always dreaming about Apple computer and I't was very disappointing when I found out that my loves soft Painter IX.5 on Mac OS X has problems that have been solved long ago for Windows users :(. Hope that Corel will manage this problem and release update/patch soon.

I don't wanna seem to hurry but I just wonder if there is anybody from Corel who can answer my question or just confirm that the issue with "keyboards and regional preferences" is known for Corel.

I apologize for not getting back to you sooner... this is a valid issue - it seems that the Polish keyboard can't be used in Painter X with the text tool.  I have reported the issue to our developers.

If a workaround is found, I will post it here for you.

As I mentioned before it's very strange that Polish keyboard is not working on Mac version of Painter (neither 9.5 nor X) but is working with Win after 9.5 upgrade (as I remember) - maybe this information will be useful for you.
