    Hi kiteflyer,

The description for this forum (Got a Question?) is:

"Open forum for discussing technical questions and concerns with Painter users as well as the Painter team - this might be a good place to let the Painter Team know about bugs and issues with the program."

Since  your question is about Painter IX (a previous Painter version) and not about technical issues or bugs but about using the program in general, I'm going to move this thread to to the Painter Past forum.

It'll be a couple of minutes, then I'll answer your question.

    Hi again,

    Now to answer your question:

The default Painter IX Gradients library is stored in the following file:

Painter.PRE (Windows) or Painter Presets (Mac) - Stores Painter presets like Brush Looks, Gradients, etc.

To load the default Painter IX Gradients library again after using another Gradients library:

    1. In the Gradients palette menu, choose Open Library.

    2. Navigate to the Painter IX application/program folder:

    Mac - /Applications/Corel Painter IX/

    Windows - \Program Files\Corel\Corel Painter IX

    3. Highlight the Painter.PRE file (Windows) or Painter Presets file (Mac), then click the Open button. Now the default Painter IX Gradients library should be loaded and ready to use.
