Well now I do feel like a dope. Do I confess why I feel so silly and give you all a laugh?

I spent ages following the instructions you gave jinny but every time I launched Corel Painter X the brushes had disappeared. I would go into my computer and find them in my programmes, Corel, etc and delete them and try again to find the same thing happened.

Now before you fall off your chairs laughing remember I told you I was not experienced in computers, digital art or any of this stuff, OK?

I have Corel Paint shop pro X on my PC and I have just discovered that I kept copying the brushes into there and then looked for them in Corel Painter X and wondered why I couldn't find them

Now that must be eliglible for the Dope of the Week Award  {:-o

As for you Jinny, I think you should be awarded the medal of honour for patience above and beyond the call of duty.   :-)

Don't feel stupid. No one's born knowing all this stuff and it's you who deserve a medal of honor for figuring out what happened. Congratulations!

Isn't it great when what goes wrong is something as simple as that? 

I enjoy helping someone who want to learn, and you obviously are one of those who's not only willing, but capable of learning.

It was one of those occasions when I just had to laugh at myself jinny. It was so funny that everytime I went into the brushes folder through my computer etc I opened Corel Paintshop Pro X instead of Corel Painter X and yet everytime I opened the programme I got it right. LOL

I do wish all the gremlins I encounter were as simple as this as you say.

I have been playing with lots of toys lately. Running images through several programmes just to see what happens.

I applied colour to a new page using the suminagashi brushes, then applied some effects in Corel Paintshop Pro X, back into Painter X and added some more brushwork.

The results are abstract but I like them and hope you enjoy seeing a couple of them.

I have been away for a while doing the DAA Open Study Session 5. It is great fun and I am learning more than I ever dreamed I was able to learn.

Today I have tried to put some of the oil painting techniques to use using a photo of my dog Molly. She looked so pleased with herself when she ran into the river and sat down in the water watching the people looking at her as they walked by.
