    Re: Hello

I am here! Loved this unusual piece you did, I hope you will post more. This is my first visit and yours was the first art I opened. Don't you just LOVE Painter? I love, love, love it! Use it everyday and for almost 100% of my jobs, except when I need CorelDraw for text and templates. I love experimenting, but usually have a project that needs a certain look and work in a certain style for a long stretch. Then it's time to play! Seeing what other artists do really jump kicks me into trying new things.

    Take care,

    Lisa

Re: Another  from a series on blues musicians

Oh my, this is wonderful, neilornstein!

Before responding, I had to fire up Pandora and set up a new station to listen to Blind Lemon Jefferson, then read about him. First song that came up was one on the album you painted, Hangman's Blues on Black Snake Moan.

This is going to be one of my favorite stations along with another for a long ago artist, LeadBelly, and one for a current artist, B. B. King.

Love that music, the lyrics, and the soul in all of it!

Your painting has that soul, and your Blind Lemon Jefferson is so alive and tangible.

Thanks for taking me back to music I love, and the feelings it stirs.

Jinny, still listening as I type, right now to LeadBelly doing Little Children's Blues on the Blind Lemon Jefferson station. :)

P.S. For anyone who doesn't know what Pandora is, it's Pandora Internet Radio, free music and you can choose whatever you want to listen to, by artist or by song. Then Pandora sets up a station with music similar to, and including, the artist or song you asked for.

    It's great!

This is very good.  Where I live is the home of Robert Johnson.  Although he was killed at an early age from being where he shouldn't have been, he made a huge mark on the blues music.

Jinny, thanks for the informatioon on Pandora.

     Cheers

Re: You Better C'mon into my Kitchen

This is good...there are few known photographs of Robert Johnson.  There is a festival each year here honoring him and a marker downtown and I was fortunate enough to latch onto his recording.  To my knowledge it was the only one he ever made.  Did you see the movie "Crossroads"--it featured his unique style.  Where is your work showing the other blues artists please?  Would love to see them.   There is a little cafe up where I was raised at the start of the Delta which has gained national fame as authentic blues.  My husband was asked to play there but due to other commitments we never made it up there...they have a session every weekend.  Although Western Swing is my favorite of all music, I do like Blues.  And I am rambling...sorry.  Thanks for posting this.

Very cool stuff, I really like the background textures and effects. *Looks around for a Stevie Ray Vaughen image*.

     Cool. Love the effects.

I've goty a question. What is the typeface font you used in the Tango pictiure? I've always loved that font but don;t know the name of it.
