Original Size

It's been a long time and I don't remember the whole process but this painting followed an hour or so testing custom brush variants.

The Beginning

The resulting blobs of color cried out for something to be done with them so I continued experimenting (and using Undo). With another custom brush variant, I moved and textured the paint using vertical strokes, mirrored the top to make a reflection, then smeared the bottom with horizontal strokes and, as a final touch, added splatters using Liquid Ink. As always when playing in Corel Painter, it was fun!

Hello Jinny.

thanks for telling us about this and my your abstracts are so colorful and pretty.   I generallly don't care for them but this one is pretty, would even think about putting it on my wall.

Annette and Anita,

Thanks so much for stopping to take a look, then leaving such nice comments.

It's pretty unforgivable that I haven't responded 'til now. I completely forgot that I set my gallery up so comments don't get posted until I approve them.

How embarrassing! ;)

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year 2009 to both of you and your families and friends!
