I know this is no help to you, but just for information purposes, at the present time, the only plugins I know of which do work with Painter 12.2 on a 64 bit system are those made by Topaz. I have several Topaz plugins installed in the Painter plugins folder and they are accessible through the Effects menu.

Hi,
Composite Depth affects Impasto. So if you are not painting with Impasto brushes, then changing the Composite Depth settings will not have any effect on your image.

Have you ever tried resetting the program back to it's default settings? That solves a myriad of problems for people because often the problems are caused by corrupted workspaces. This looks as if it could be very annoying to say the least.
