I agree with redcap. Beautiful color in the flower and nice detail.
I thought it would be fun for viewers to see the same subject in a completely different style. I did this one about six years ago.
Others out there must have also painted the same subject..... let's see them!

The overall is image very good. Quite intriguing and well done. Personally, I think you can safely ignore the talk about her b**bs. Most b**b’s are not perfect and her’s don’t have to be. They appear anatomically correct.
The forearm holding the fan needs some work... it looks a little like it is pasted in place.... ...

I remember reading in a book... "Drawing with the Right Side of Your Brain".... that the sooner you make your first 10,000 mistakes the sooner you learn. I think that's how one learns to be intuitive. And believe me, I'm still learning.

I’m sorry, I’ve never heard the phrase “paint-over” before. If by paint-over you mean did this image begin life as a photo, then the answer is yes. Attached is the photo. The patriarch is seated in the center of the group.

I tried to move the image from a specific person to a more universal image of a "Patriarch". To do that I created an image with a more "ghostly" "dream-like" quality. You're right, the eyes have a lot to do with it but so does the fact that the hair blends into the background, many of the previous details ...

I frequently do multiple versions of an image and when I do they usually become more abstract and more "painterly". This second version of The Patriarch illustrates that point.
