Is there an easy way to drop a stack of layers so that each layer is on its own canvas?

Not sure if this is the right location for this post. I am working on sketching simple objects so I have a lot of lines that I do not wont. When I zoom in to do a little clean up I end up making the lines darker than I wont. I am also get a vector look so I wont to keep the lines softer.

I have been experimenting with different canvas sizes and pixel count. I am not really sure what a good basic pixel count should be. I think I will use the numbers you gave, they look closer to what I need for now.  Thanks

I know how to reset the brushes but I can not find a way to reset the canvas to a factory default, is there a way?

I am reading the manual and have not seen anything about moving a shape thru a path. Is it possible to move a shape thru a path?
