Brushes are not working as they used to! What to do, do i reboot PainterXI?

i've been creating a bunch of new brushes, using snowleapard on a new mac, but now theyre all going screwy, not doing waht therye suposed to. Why is this happening, and is rebooting the best way to reset the whole program. Help appreciated Alan Wade www.storyboardmaestro.com

Autumn Shades

This is a photopainting that began as an unispiring pathway with green foliage trees either side. I decided to create an autumn colour painting and create a new brush tip for leaves. Painted with a mixture of brushes from Corel Painter 11. Thanks for looking.
