Painter Unexpectedly Quits when using Guides and Rulers

I am using Painter 10.1 Academic version, Windows XP SP3 I can only isolate 2 things that may cause the problem. I'm using a 5x5 Grid/Guide on the image and after zooming in and out I notice the guides corrupt the GUI and show all over the screen instead of the document and quits. It seems to quit...
