Yes, I have had the exact same issues on the Mac (G5 PPC O.S 10.5.8). I had to reset the workspace to stop the Pattern Mover crashes. When I have a custom pattern library selected, then select the Pattern Mover, the name of the pattern library which opens in the left hand pane is Painter Patterns.patterns...
