Special thanks to all the beta users that provided feedback and great visuals that show off Painter 12.2!
Attention Mac users. Given some changes that
Apple is introducing in their upcoming operating system, they are introducing
new online features that will require you to have the latest software updates
for 10.6 and 10.7. If you run into installation issues (installation failed
message), please check for updates and install the latest patches from Apple.
Make sure you apply all the patches including iTunes, Safari etc. One of these applications applies a security setting that solves this issue.
Once you have installed these patches, relaunch Painter and rerun the patch dmg
or simply Check for Updates with Painter to restart the Painter
Many thanks for the update, ive downloaded, installed and am trying it out right now :)
Im switching over to a Mac at the end of this month, does this update support 64bit on Mac OSX?
We have many users very eager for 64-bit Mac. This effort is still ongoing. Painter 12.2 is not 64-bit on the Mac - only Windows for now.
Thanks for the info Andy! - Much appreciated :)
Did you guys change right click--->zoom? I now have to hold down click to select if I want to zoom in, out, etc. If I don't hold the button it just automatically clicks zoom in.
I really like interface improvements of 12.2 quite a lot.
Vertical docking is working great in organizing workspace and sticking most essential palettes permanently; palettes don't get torn away by random pen clicks like they used to as well.
Also brushes seem to work snappier now, but maybe it's a result of factory reset, I don't know really.
Still waiting for 64 bit mac build, working with large documents is quite disappointing.
Thanks for that feedback. The team is emersed in implementing/coding 64-bit for Mac. It remains a priority, but in truth, the scope of effort is substantial.
