I am a new user, and very happy with the Painter Essentials 6. My problem comes when I browse and select a photo from my collection, and it appears rotated in Painter Essentials. I've tried rotating the original image but that imports fine. How do I get these images to appear correctly?
What program are you using to rotate your photos in your collection? My guess is the info is not getting embedded in the photo metadata. I've never encountered or seen problems with Corel Essentials not importing photos correctly-
I don't recall rotating the image at all before trying to get it in Corel Painter Essentials right side up. Then I used File Explorer probably. This problem has happened with more than one pic, but not all of them. It is very odd.
If the image files are not rotated in Windows Explorer or by another program like PSP or the program you use to import images from your camera, they will not be rotated in Essentials or similar programs.
One would think. And despite that logical statement, still the bumblebee flies.
Above is the pic selected for import to Photo Essentials
Below is what I could find of relevent metadata
And this is what happens.
