I am DESPERATE for some help after TEN days of dealing with Corel tech support and getting no help whatsoever. I have used Corel products for years. I have Painter Essentials 5 (and all the other interations prior to that), but I wanted to use the Bob Ross brush pack for Painter Essentials and it only works with Painter Essentials 6, so I purchased PE6 at the same time I purchased the Bob Ross brushes for PE6. I purchased all of this directly from Corel's website. Ten days later I still can not use the brushes because tech support either can't or refuses to tell me how to import them into the program. Instead, it's been ten days of arguing with them and escalating tickets and speaking to managers who never call back even though they say they will. Now they are telling me that the Bob Ross brushes are only for Painter and not for Painter Essentials 6. I've shown them PROOF that they are specifically for Painter Essentials 6 by providing them with links to Corel pages that show 'master painter' webinars specifically for Bob Ross brushes made for PE6, and You Tube videos of the same. Still no one wants to tell me the only thing I have asked which is "HOW DO I IMPORT BRUSHES FOR PE6 THAT I PURCHASED ON THE COREL WEBSITE INTO PE6 WHICH I ALSO PURCHASED ON THE COREL WEBSITE?"Honestly, I'm at my wits end so if ANYONE can just answer that question for me, it would be awesome. Thank you in advance.
From What I understand the PE6 does not support imports for that program unlike the Professional painter Corel if you can. Try to do the test manually and I do not recognize the PE6 with other Brushes. Maybe what you bought is not compatible even though I've seen video that if you occupy (here I leave a video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4-Yl8RRSbXw&t=1s). The other thing that might have an error Is the installation that does not complete or does not show the location.
Only other thing I can think of is if you got the correct installer for the brush pack for PE6 rather than Painter- they are different as PE6 has fewer brushes in pack-
"These Essentials packs include 10 of the 15 brush variants from the full packs available for Painter and ParticleShop and are intended for use only in Painter Essentials 6."
I thought the same thing, but I checked and they're not brushes for Painter. The icons and extension are different. I guess I'm just out of luck. We've been through everything and they're still not showing up in the program. I'm pretty angry with Corel right now. It's been four days since they said tech support would call me 'right back' and still nothing.
Check C/ drive- right click under Program Data, Corel, and see if anything in there. Also try resetting PE6 by holding down the Shift key while starting.
Nothing in program data for these brushes. There is information for other purchased brush sets in there, though. And resetting didn't bring them in either. Those were good things to try, though. I had not thought of those.
