I am DESPERATE for some help after TEN days of dealing with Corel tech support and getting no help whatsoever. I have used Corel products for years. I have Painter Essentials 5 (and all the other interations prior to that), but I wanted to use the Bob Ross brush pack for Painter Essentials and it only works with Painter Essentials 6, so I purchased PE6 at the same time I purchased the Bob Ross brushes for PE6. I purchased all of this directly from Corel's website. Ten days later I still can not use the brushes because tech support either can't or refuses to tell me how to import them into the program. Instead, it's been ten days of arguing with them and escalating tickets and speaking to managers who never call back even though they say they will. Now they are telling me that the Bob Ross brushes are only for Painter and not for Painter Essentials 6. I've shown them PROOF that they are specifically for Painter Essentials 6 by providing them with links to Corel pages that show 'master painter' webinars specifically for Bob Ross brushes made for PE6, and You Tube videos of the same. Still no one wants to tell me the only thing I have asked which is "HOW DO I IMPORT BRUSHES FOR PE6 THAT I PURCHASED ON THE COREL WEBSITE INTO PE6 WHICH I ALSO PURCHASED ON THE COREL WEBSITE?"Honestly, I'm at my wits end so if ANYONE can just answer that question for me, it would be awesome. Thank you in advance.
I wanted to update to let you know that your suggestion of contacting Corel through Facebook may have worked. They didn't seem too pleasd that their East Indian tech support branch wasn't doing their job and assigned an American tech support person to my case. He called my home, but I missed the call. But he left me a message on voice mail and in my support ticket to ask when he should call back. This is more attention shown to the matter by Corel tech support than has ever happened before. So thank you. He just might be able to solve this for me!
Let me know the outcome and fix if resolved- I'm reluctant to buy any brushpacks due to problems so many have encountered.
Hey, Ron.Sorry it took so long to get back toyou but me and the American tech support (Auz) didn't coordinate well the first day or so for a call, and then came the weekend. But he called me this morning and O.M.G....This guy was an angel! He went WAY above and beyond to help me and it's all fixed now. I can't stop smiling. Plus, the added bonus was that he didn't tell me the brushes weren't for PE6, and he didn't act like I was crazy - unlike their outsourced tech support people. Just a really good experience which made up for all the frustration I've experienced throughout this process. I wish I could tell you what he did, but he did it himself remotely and he was quick as lightning with it so I have no idea HOW he got them in there, but he definitely got them all in there now. I told him he is my favorite person of the day. I also told him how hard you've tried to help me with this problem and showed him the thread when he asked your name. He said he knows you.
It would have been interesting to know how it did, why you could not install and what happened did to recognize the brush for other people know that they can have the same problem you had. I'm glad it's working for you now. Best regards
I bought the Ultimate Brush Pack Bundle Volume 2 for Painter Essentials 6 on a Mac. It was working before but I needed to reinstall all my software. Now i can't reinstall the brush pack. Even the "Restore Purchases..." help menu doesn't work. It goes through the process but the pack never shows up. Is this a System (High Sierra) problem or PE6 just doesn't work with these bundles anymore?
