For whatever reason, I am unable to select and drag art/text. I should say, while I can select (dotted line surrounding selection), I am unable to drag the selected portion. I have contacted Painter Essentials service center. Online service was unable to answer. After two days received an email with a link to their tutorial. Was zero help as the selection tool does not work, or at least unable to drag image.
I am using a Corel Painter Essentials 7 with my Wacom Intuos on a Macbook (version 10.13.6).
Will appreciate any direction as the current situation really limits what I can do.
Here are the steps I was able to do for moving text...
1. New Document
2. Select the text tool, create some text
3. In the toolbox, Click and hold on the 7th tool from the top (the rectangular select tool) and flyout open...at the Far right of the flyout, you can select the "layer adjuster" Alternatively, you can simply press the "f" key and that should change your current tool to the "layer ajduster"
4. Move the text. (Note, if you've been painting since you created the text, you may need to specific select the text layer in the layers panel)
5. You can edit the text in the new location (if needed) but you need to make sure the text tool is selected and you click on the text object.
I hope this helps!
Clear and concise directions that walked me through what now seems simple. Thanks for taking the time answering and solving the problem, you're a star!
