I cannot create nozzles in Painter 2020. I follow the directions, and the library shows a blank nozzle. I have saved images (RIFF) that I want to make into nozzles and I'm doing something wrong. I open the nozzle panel, click load nozzle, the menu showing my RIFF files open, I choose the one I want to load, I open it, click add nozzle to library, and a blank nozzle shows up in the library. Help!
Hi fpowers,
Here are the steps I followed (I created a 1-rank nozzle)
1. Created a new document
2. Created 3 separate layers, each layer having the nozzle element
3. Grouped the layers
4. In the Nozzles panel, I chose "make nozzle from group"
5. Saved the file. (nozzle test.rif)

6. In the Nozzles panel, I chose "load nozzle" and selected the file
7. Painted...it worked
8. In the menu on the nozzle panel, I selected "add nozzle to library" and it worked

Maybe there is something about the file structure that is not working? Did you create a group? Were the layers some type of special layer or fancy brush? Perhaps with more detail I'll be able to help more. Best wishes!
Stephen. That worked. The step I was missing was grouping the layers. I was trying to do it with just a RIFF layer. Also, I found that I can do it with just one layer as long as I select it and click on group layers. Thank you so much!
