Sorry for replying here once more.But to report something concerning the same electrical issue.To not write an overly long post,I'll just mention that my motherboard died just few days ago.So I decided not to go to a computer service but to do it myself.I've been around computers ever since I was 6 and had changed all parts on computers except CPUs and motherboards.I always thought that one has to be in really deep knowledge about that.But again long story short,I found out that was not so.So I decided to order a motherboard and fix my problem on my own.So I got it and after watching some tutorials about motherboard installations I was quite afraid of static electricity.So this is why I noticed something on the box of the board.It stated that it had "protection against static electricity".Still I did everything by the book in connecting each component.After installing and everything loading just fine I decided to see will I have the same issues with the scratchboard tool.Again long story short,because I've changed places and now I will be in an apartment that is on the 7-th floor and I doubt that I can ground the PC like I did before.So I loaded painter...and...no problem at all.The only issue is visible in setting the dab type to watercolor.But that issue will clear once I get my UPS here as well.Wondering is that just the apartment being grounded well.I tried the same brush on painter on my laptop.And when if the laptop is connected to an ungrounded outlet it gives the same distortions and when it is just on battery it works just fine.Well when it was connected it got amazing distortions.Not so subtle like before.When I tried only on battery it worked fine again.So to summarize the whole post(and sorry Jason for ruining it,but I hope someone with the same issue might find it useful),getting an motherboard that has a static electricity protection also helps to remove the problem.Although it might not be the cheapest solution out there.
That is really excellent information! I am sure many people can benefit from the knowledge that a smart purchase when shopping for new PC motherboard can also be protection from this issue.
The original class was for Painter X3, there is now a new class for Painter 2016 but it is in Haitus due to bugs in the recording process -- I will update here when the issues are resolved.
