Hello dear community,
For this christmas, I have gotten a new Wacom Intuos tablet and wanted to start working with Corel Painter Essentials 6 software.
However, I have a weird problem. When I want to draw on my tablet, it simply does not work. The pen seems to work fine, I can move the curser, using the tablet and the pen, I can also click on things and it reacts fine. When I go into the Wacom Desktop Center to pen-settings, everything seems fine... the only thing I seem unable to do is draw anything in the programm. When I use the mouse, it works fine. When I use the pen to draw something in other programs (like "paint"), this works as well. I simply can't make any mark in Corel, by using the pen.
Something else that is really weird is: When I use Particle-effects to draw fur, it work... kind of. I am getting some patterns, but they look weird. Different from when I just use the mouse.
As you can see, I'm getting two differently looking patterns. The ones on the left, where you see clear, nice lines, is what I get when using the mouse. The more faint ones on the right happen, when I try to use the pen.
I am working on Windows 10. I have already made sure that I have the newest driver for my tablet.
Does anybody have any idea what causes this and how to fix it?
I'm new at this stuff, so maybe I'm just overlooking something simple, but I can't find anything online that matches this specific problem.
Maybe you need to set Brush Tracking under Edit Tab, Preferences.
While this video is for Painter it also applies to Painter Essentials 6.
Thank you very much for your response. This really helped! :-)
