I'm looking for a new Tablet and was thinking of straying away from Wacom - has anyone tried the Huion 160?
I have the Huion 1060pro and it works flawlessly with zbrush, photoshop, painter, pretty much anything. :p A few things to note... - Have to charge pen - "slightly" annoying sound drawing on surface ( like a pen on hard surface) -nibs last pretty long as long as you don't press really hard, better than Wacom. - Pen holder has no weight at all - Only 8 of the 12 express keys can be used currently, but I believe they will add support later. FYI, the four buttons on the bottom are the ones that can be used, but every other is currently two acting as one button. So it takes some getting used to. - No surface covers
- No Finger Multitouch (never used it anyway) - Huge drawing area! - The left faceplate if you will, that houses the express keys is not glossy as in a picture you might see, but I think that's better personally. - The Huion Logo lights up green when you draw, but also pops in and out when hovering close every 2 secs or so. I guess I don't hate it or like it honestly. - Make sure you install the latest drivers (run as administrator) from the website and not the cd, also, don't plug in the tablet until after doing so, I didn't, and I had no pen pressure. - Pen charge lasts a long time! Note it is a usb cord with a special end like that of an audio cable, so don't lose it or you will have to order another one, not the tablet thank god. All in all their tablets have a slight cheap feel, but drawing is so much nicer than my bamboo create and you can't complain for $86 either! Hope you find this useful. ;p
Thanks for your kind gesture Bill, yea, you just need to uninstall the driver and do it again correctly, that's what worked for me anyway. Hope you enjoy it! (:
