I'm having issues where random straight lines appear during the process of shading with single lines, more specifically this seems to happen during the repetitive motion of drawing lines.
I'm using a Cintiq Pro 24 at 4K resolution. Here's an example. The lines highlighted by the arrows were randomly generated as I attempted to "shade"
Does anyone know the fix/workaround or root cause for this issue?
This issue is happening simply by drawing lines. It doesn't have to be in quick succession. It might have something to do with the speed at which the pen is lifted off the tablet.
Upon further investigation, when switching from Wacom-compatible device to RTS-compatible device in Tablet preferences, i can no longer reproduce the issue (although I did get the original issue once when I closed the document and then created a new one. Maybe something to do with memory/CPU consumption)
Some of Painter brushes can go erratic like in your example. Not a memory or CPU issue. Could be the Wacom driver (some have had to roll back to a previous version). If not try resetting Painter by holding down the Shift key while starting.
Try various brushes for sketching- different pencils, pastels, etc. and see if problem appears. If it is only a specific brush then it is a bug in Painter and there is nothing you can do.
I've seen the same thing as Ron...most people are able to solve this by upgrading and/or rolling back the Wacom driver.
I'm having the same issue, with an XP-PEN artist Pro
