I just purchased a Huion 1060 plus tablet and have installed the driver but cannot get it to work.
Can anyone help?
First......read this link.....https://painterfactory.com/painter_product_discussion/f/corel-painter-products/26845/huion-h610-pro-graphic-drawing-tablet
You are more likely to have issues with Wacom than Huion. I have had 2 Wacoms and 2 Huions. Currently using the 610 Pro V2. I now have about 3 years of professional experience......1000's of hours...using the Huions. No problems. Works perfectly in Photoshop CC and Painter. If you are having problems it is likely caused by user error, or, perhaps your computer.
You did not say anything about your OS. If it is Windows you should first unplug the tablet and then go into device manager and delete the tablet driver. Do not reconnect the tablet. Reboot the computer, go to the Huion website, download and install the latest driver, THEN plug the tablet into a USB port. That should solve your issue.
Thanks for you reply. I have 2018 IMac computer. My issue I'm having is not being able to set up my Huion. I installed the driver and it doesn't work so I'm wondering what else I need to do? Do I need to change something with the computer itself?
The tablet is plugged into the USB port.
I don't use a Mac.
However, which 1060 plus do you have? Is it the 1060 Plus (8192)?
Go to www.huion.com/.../p_6.html
Download the Mac driver and manual. The manual states....
1.4.3 Install DriverPlease download the driver from our website: www.huion.com/download After finishing installation, you can find the driver icon in the system tray area, which means the driver was installed successfully; when you connect the tablet to computer, the icon will change to color , which means the driver has already recognized the tablet and you can start using it now. Notice： 1. Before installing, you need to uninstall other driver of similar products, including the old driver of this product. 2. Before installing, please close all graphics software and anti-virus software to avoid unnecessary mistake.
Be sure to uninstall any old drivers. Then reboot.
The first link above, page 6, has the links for the driver and manual.
When you say: "My issue I'm having is not being able to set up my Huion." What does that mean? Does the cursor on the screen respond to the stylus? What driver did you install? Where did you get the driver?
It sounds to me like the pen is the problem....does it need batteries? I’m a Wacom user, which pens don’t need batteries but I did have a Yinova at one point which needed batteries in the pen. I’m not sure about Huion... besides that, I’d contact Huion & get them to troubleshoot, although I’ve heard they are notoriously impossible to get tech support from. Hope your up & painting soon, it’s very irritating when you have an issue like this.
You know you could be right....I tried opening the pen to check the batteries but I couldn't even tho the booklet it came with says it does. I will try that when I get home from work. I did contact Huion but no reply after a week so I decide to take this route and I'm glad I did. Everyone has been very helpful.
Thanks for your help and reply.
Your welcome, let us know if it works! Yeah I’ve heard lots of bad reports on Huion support...& mixed about the actual tablets... some like them, others disappointed from the start after changing from Wacom.
