I've never screen captured before with Corel Painter. I have a question about it and am hoping I can find out here. I have a project I want to make for a video. I was wondering if there is a way for me to record just one layer and not other ones used for reference/tracing? It would be great because this would allow me to make a really cool timelapse with the video.
Lots of free or paid screen capture of video or still images; search via Google. No apparent need for such a tool built in to Painter as it is quite ubiquitous/generic and already available. Just my opinion.
You may have mistaken my question. If I were to capture the screen it would show the image being traced. The purpose of this video would be for a music video and a timelapse of something being drawn or painted digitally quickly. Seeing a photo I took and tracing would not be an option for something to convey in what I'm doing. This is recording the screen in video time...not via photograph.
You could try doing auto paint setup to yield a "traced" looking image, and do screenshot video capture (I often use free version of Blueberry screen recorder) and then add audio to video captured, using a video editing program.
If you turn off all layers but the one you want to see....then you would record only the one layer...yes?
