In a few tutorials that use earlier versions of Corel Painter, I've seen reference to there being a search box that can be used to find matching brushes so that, say, you could type in "pencil" and get all of the brushes with that in their name no matter what category they're in. Does this still exist? Did it exist before, or are these people inventing features?
it's there, it's built in the brush selector drop-out I think.
I still can't find it. I'll keep looking.
are you on windows? apparently it's there but it doesn't work anymore after a windows update in the past???
Ah, and since my usage postdates that, I've never seen it working. And if the issue has been "urgent" since 2018...
Ah, and for what it is worth, support confirms that search in the brush selector is not supported in current versions of Painter, despite the documentation indicating otherwise, but Windows > Search actually does what I want it to do, so I'm satisfied there.
