In a few tutorials that use earlier versions of Corel Painter, I've seen reference to there being a search box that can be used to find matching brushes so that, say, you could type in "pencil" and get all of the brushes with that in their name no matter what category they're in. Does this still exist? Did it exist before, or are these people inventing features?
Brush search works just fine, OK, on my win10 P20 PC...tried and verified just now
It uses windows search machine, so be sure win10 search tool (indexing) has brush locations selected/allowed
Wait a day for a complete search to get full database assembled.
Ah, just to clarify, was this off of the Windows > Search panel or off of the Brush Selector toolbar item or panel?
brush search toolbar
Ah, yeah, that one I've found. The documentation (and other people I've talked to) indicate that that use to be part of the Brush Selector. It' cool. The separate toolbar is actually more useful for me, since it searches across libraries, once I added it to the layout.
