When I use the paint bucket for a texture fill, it only fills a small square in the upper left corner, not the whole image. If I fill with current color, gradient, or weave, it fills the entire image. I only have the problem when I use the texture fill. I have tried making a selection in the canvas and filling that, but it only fills a small square in the selection. I cannot find any info in Corel help.
I am using Painter 2020.
Just to check, is this for a custom image or for one of the default ones? One of the oddities of Corel Painter texture fills (at least in Painter 2019 where I'm testing it) is that it only draws one copy of the texture, so if I use a smaller image, it only shows up in the area covered by that smaller image.
You can also try going into a texture brush, and using the Show Texture button to see where the texture exists on your screen. If your original image is a repeating pattern, you can instead use it as a Pattern. Or if you want to turn it into a larger texture, I would say to use Texture Synthesis.
I tried to reply with an image but got an error message. If I create a new file, I can fill it with either current color or gradient and the entire image will be filled. If I then try and do a texture fill, I get a square in the upper left corner with the texture.
If I open an existing jpeg file and do a current color or gradient fill, I can control where and how much fill. If I then try and add a texture fill, it only appears as a square in the upper left corner.
I tried creating a layer and tried to add a texture fill. Same thing.
I remember someone having this same issue in the past and it was a quick fix. Unfortunately can't remember what it was.
Texture synthesis didn't help.
Right, but that doesn't completely answer my question. :) Is that square your texture's size? Corel Paint doesn't tile textures. You can adjust its location via the Transform tab as per https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jKe-vALelBM.
Do you get the same result regardless of which texture you are trying to fill with?
