I just installed Painter 2021 and much to my surprise, I cannot find the Color Panel or anything having to do with color. I clicked Color Panel in Windows and then clicked to show it in full view. Nothing. I opened an image and still nothing.
try pushing ctrl + 1, should toggle the color palatte on/off. one possiblity is that the palatte was placed somewhere outside of the view of your monitor. not sure how to fix this but i assume the painter factory reset could help. hold shift while starting the appliaction. this will delete all your presets.
CTRL + 1 did not work. Finally I talked with someone at Corel via its chat line, and she recommended I reset to factory defaults. It worked.
its what they always recommend. now that it works, make sure to setup your work space and brushes then save and export it. always do this when you make bigger changes to your workspace or create new brushes or you'll find yourself redoing it quite a lot cause its most likely not the last time you'll reset painter to factory presets.
Painter 2021 is the best app for use.
Thanks very much. After 20 yrs of using Adobe, I made the switch to Painter 2021 and love it. I love its color sets and the brushes.
