Good day
I am running Painter 2020 on macOS Catalina Version 10.15.7 and up until a few days ago it was working fine but suddenly started to quit on me while I'm busy with my painting process. This is so frustrating as when it quits and I reopen it, it defaults back to the original workspace and I have to do everything all over again to set-up my workspace as I prefer it. I also lose all painting work done. I have even created a new user in order to see if this will not resolve the issues but it did not.
Can anyone assist please.
Thank you so much.
Hi Blue,
It would be good to understand the crash as P2020 should be very stable...do you happen to know the typical steps that lead up to the crash? I can test on my system and see if I get the same crash (I have the same OS).
In terms of your workspace...yes, if you make changes to your user interface layout, and do not save the layout, yes, those changes will be lost in the event of crash. If you are making changes that you want to keep, try going WIndow > Layout > Save layout and give it a name. Then hopefully this won't be lost in the event of a crash...and, because it's saved you can now switch layouts (if it benefits your workflow in some way...for example, I tend to have a layout for brush editing that has a lot more panels visible).
Still, it would be best not to crash at all, so any info on the steps will help!
Hi Stephen,
Thank you so much for the response. I got it sorted by going onto Corel’s website and found an update there. All is sorted now and it feels as if my program is renewed after the update, so smooth it is running now. :-D
That's great news, thanks for letting us all know!
