Does anyone know how often the brush accelerator needs to be run? Does it need to be set up every time I open Corel, or does it automatically work forever after I set it up once?
You are correct once you've run it, your settings are saved...so you don't have to run it every time you open Corel Painter. Here are some examples of when you may want to re-run it:
-After a re-install of the program (especially if you chose the option to remove user files)
-After a significant hardware change (i.e. you added more RAM, or upgraded your video card / GPU)
-After you have reset your workspace
Oh and while we're on the subject, if your system has more than one GPU, it's probably a good idea to check which GPU Painter has auto-selected. Most times Painter is able to choose the fastest GPU, but on occasion, it can help to manually chose the other GPU (or GPUs) in your system and re-run the test. You may end up with better performance (and a higher score). If the score is lower, simply flip back to the previous GPU and run the test again.
As per the above, once the test has been run, your settings will be saved as part of your workspace and should be good to go!
Thank you so much, that's a big help!
