I have to report that I'm very much loving this option (under Canvas in the menu).I've been working for a British comic anthology and have found it gold for anticipating the appearance of the final printed version.it doesn't just simulate cmyk but also provides for the slightly off white of paper compared to the glare of a monitor.I haven't looked into calibrating it to the specific magazine (which has slightly duller bright greens and paler cyans but is virtually identical in nearly every other respect) but I may yet.
An excellent feature. Thanks, development team.
Curiously, 12 months ago this mode was brilliant in painter 2021... now it seems to not be working at all. Switching it on makes the picture look exactly the same as it already is!
Hey Brendoon, maybe check your settings via Canvas > Color Proofing Settings? In there you can check which profile you are simulating...
Thanks Stephen!I've tried all manner of differnt settings but there's no longer any change in appearance. I've recently spent a fair bit of time setting up my monitor colours. It's possible that has affected the effectiveness of the color proofing settings. Also over Christmas I did a complete reinstall of Windows, so in a way it's not the same computer or installation of Painter I was using a year ago.
