When I select certain brushes, it automatically creates a new layer (I understand this is normal). However, because I am trying to work with brushes from various genres, I would prefer that a new layer would not be made, so that every brush automatically works on the layer. Is there a way to set to default that a new layer will not be created when I select (for example) a "thick paint" brush? Thanks, Mike
No, because that type of brushes are linked to the layer they create, they dont work in cover mode, so for example i choose a liquid ink brush, of course i will not get same result, it would be a really bad circle brush with no drops acumulation. But if you dont want that or dont care like effects, then you could duplicate the brushes and change it to cover mode to your liking to avoid been creating new layers.
Okay, thank you for the explanation.
Which version of Corel Painter are you using? 2021 has some options for this.
I'm still with 2020.
