I'm using Corel Painter 2020 and recently is been really glitching out on me.
Not only does it freeze my task bar/ exits randomly, the worst thing right now is that picking a color with the dropper tool isn't working correctly?
Like, the color comes out darker than what it truly is, why is that? wasnt an issue before.
Hmm, so far my P2020 is still quite stable. Are there specific steps where it crashes? (i.e. switching tools? switching brushes? are the brushes custom brushes or 'factory' brushes?)
In terms of the dropper tool, it's hard to tell from the video...what kind of layer are you sampling? Is it a default layer? Is the opacity 100%? Or does it have a 'merge mode' such as 'gel'? If you create a new default document with a layer and paint with a brush like Pens > Flat Color, is the sampled color as expected? If so, maybe you can check how it is different from the document in your video? That may help uncover the bug...
I tried the dropper tool on a new document and it seems to work fine, so it must be a layer issue?
It seems normal to me but I really must be missing something
And about the other glitch, it just seems to exit randomly ( i started saving after almost every stroke from the paranoia T^T) i might try uninstalling/ reinstalling and see if that helps.
Thank you for answering!
now it’s not letting me upload a better picture…
You're welcome, and nice painting! Unfortunately I can't see anything obvious in your screenshot that would suggest why the dropper isn't working and why Painter is exiting/crashing without notice...
Is there a specific step that tends to make it exit such as creating a stroke, or switching a brush, or switching a layer, or saving...a step that is repeatable or is it totally random?
