The paint bucket tool is really really slow, if I go from any tool that I am working with then choose the paint bucket tool it takes ages to register that I want to use it about 20 seconds of the spinning coloured wheel.
Just wondering if anyone else has this issue. All other tools work fine.
User system iMac OS X El Capitan
it was incredibly laggy and frustrating to use paint bucket in the recent couple releases of painter for mac, but I guess corel don't care about fixing that.
I haven't found a permanent solution myself during whatever time I wasted trying the painter 2019 trial out.
Jeez and I use it all the time.
Hi Linda, It's definitely not as slow as that for me, but I certainly get a slower response when I'm filling in a whole layer (or if there's a hole in the shape I'm trying to fill and it all gets out!) It seems to operate a whole lot faster on defined areas.
Oh, I'm in Windows 10, AMD processor with 8core 3.5Ghz and 16GB ram.
This is a complete stab in the dark, but try assigning fewer cores and less RAM. Then experiment with a bit more than usual.
If there's no difference put the settings back to default.
Hi Brendoon thanks for your reply. Mine is quick to fill a layer or shape once selected. The issue I am having is when I use another tool ( the eye dropper or a brush for example) and then select the paintbucket tool I get the coloured spinning wheel and sometimes it can be 20 seconds to a minute or more before I can actually use it. I have never done anything with cores on my mac so I will have to investigate what can be done there as I have no idea
