After waiting a period of time and paying attention to the topic here, I've just recently upgraded to Mojave. Unfortunately I've noticed an issue with Painter 19. Whenever I open or save a document the program freezes for @ 10-15 seconds.
Another problem that noticed with High Sierra (that hasn't disappeared) is the curser not working for about the same amount of time after having been working in other applications. I talked to Corel tech support about this issue a few months ago, but got no follow-up.
While neither of these are deal breakers, they are pretty irritating and I'm looking into downgrading OS (but not looking forward to it).
I'm on a 2013 3.5 GHz,Intel i7 iMac with 32 GB of memory and a NVIDIA GeForce GTX graphics card.
For the freezing issue, please check out this thread: https://painterfactory.com/painter_product_discussion/f/got-a-question-technical-issue-bug-report-for-the-painter-team/29455/painter-2019-hangs-when-open-save-save-as-are-called-on-the-file-menue
I am not familiar with the cursor problem, and would need more information about it. What are the steps that cause it?
Awesome, Stephen. That seems to have fixed the freeze problem. The curser issue is explained better here (couldn't think of the right words). I started having the problem around the time I upgraded to High Sierra while using Painter 15. It went away for a bit when I upgraded to 19, but came back after a couple of weeks and persists to this day. Curser Unresponsive
Also seem to now having problems when saving a doc. Keeps stopping me from saving by giving me this warning. I'm losing changes and losing my temper. Corel need to get on top of this with an update. It's not like Mojave came out yesterday.
Ugh, very frustrating. I wonder if that is Mojave's enhanced security, which is trying to disallow writing temp files to a specific folder...
1. Navigate to OS 10.14 Mojave System Preferences > Security and PrivacyClick on PhotosIs Corel Painter 2019 listed here? If so, ensure Painter has permission to write to the folder
2. What happens if you save into a different folder? For example, if you are currently saving the "Pictures", does the warning still display if you save to "Desktop"?
I'm saving all files to a folder on the desktop. The problem is occurring as I hit save as I'm working on these files. Having a look in preferences and there doesn't seem to be a function to allow me to add the Painter app
