Thus far I've been pretty impressed with the speed of the brushes in Painter 2020 on my paltery Late 2009 iMac, running High Sierra, using a Huion Kamvas GT-191 V2 display tablet. But what's killing me is when I'm attempting to select colors via the color wheel within the Color pallet. Whenever I select a color within the triangle portion of the Temporal color wheel, then paint using my pen, my color instantly defaults to black. Stroking with the mouse works fine. Selecting color any other way works fine.
I was wonder if anyone else is having this issue.
Thanks in advance!
hi there yep can confirm i have this issue on the Huion Kamvas 20 (2019)
the only way i have found around this is to set up one of the function keys as a left mouse button click. if you choose your colour then press the button you will then be able to paint with the colour rather than it turning back to black. I hope it's sorted sometime soon
Before Huion had released their latest beta driver, I had to resort to the same thing. My stylus had that fun issue when it would stay engaged after pressing down upon the screen. (My brush strokes would continue after lifting my pen.) The driver also slowed down almost all of my software, sometimes to the point that it was practically unusable. But the new driver has prevented me from selling off my tablet. I haven't used Painter 2020 since my demo expired, so likely the experience would be much more improved. I currently use 2019, and so far so good.
Did you manage to get this sorted? I have the GT191v2 also and having the same problem.
If I put the HSL wheel in the middle of my work, selecting a colour inside the triangle, the next click on the tablet will cause the colour selector to jump to the extreme edge or triangle corner nearest to where I clicked ie. Top left click would turn the selection white, bottom left black and towards the right would be the colour at maximum saturation.
Thankfully, this is only on CP Essential 7 but I've tried the 2020 trial and it's the same. Seems to be something going on with the Huion itself but this won't happen in Affinity Photo, Krita or Photoshop.
Huion driver is v220.127.116.11025 which appears to be the latest.
