HI, just installed the 2020 demo and get the above error, also when i run 2019 it does the same after having previously worked, 2018 is still installed but that works properly. please see pic enclosed.
I have uninstslled, reinstalled to different drives, i have diasabled antivirus, firewall and anti amlware but problem still remain, ive also created a new user on windows and still problem persistes.
Ive been in touch with corel support but its taking ages due to time zone differences.
I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem and did they solve it.
thanks
Tony
HI Asfodel,
sounds exactly like my problem, glad im not the only one but not so glad you have the problem as well.
A System reinstall is out of the question, i have a lot of software.
im still waiting for Corel to get this working, lets hope
HI Tony,
Here is another idea that may help...please only try this if you are comfortable with these instructions...
1. In your Windows operating system, launch the Add/Remove Programs and Features utility.
2. Scroll thru the list to find the "Intel R C++ Redistributable" programs (it may help to sort these alphabetically)
a) If there is only one "Intel R C++ Redistributable", click on it. It should offer an option to "Repair". Click on this option.
b) If there are two "Intel R C++ Redistributables", select the one highlighted in the attached screenshot. (Note how it is an older version number) Uninstall this program and reboot.
Hopefully either option A or B will help Painter 2019 and 2020 launch again...let us know!
Thank you, it works for me too.
Fantastic Asfodel, glad it works
Woo hoo!!!!
