The color I select using the temporal color selector does not match the painted or fill color. The painted color is always darker and cooler than the color displayed in the circle swatch of the temporal color selector. I'd like to be able to select a color in the color wheel that will actually match the color being painted but this is not the case. I've tried turning off the color proofing mode but although the painted color shifts, it still doesn't match.
Please see the attached examples, which have the color proofing mode turned off. Is this a bug or can I do something to correct this?
Yeap. Old crap. Temporal color selector use monitors color profile, not documents. This "feature" has been present for ages, a lot of people report it and Corel keeps ignoring it.
Wow! So it appears that Painter's temporal color selector is of no use for actually selecting a color! You'll actually always be painting with a different color than selected. An absolutely unacceptable bug!
I've noticed that selecting a color from the color panel color wheel does appear to paint with the selected color. Odd that they are different. I was looking forward to making much more use of the temporal color selector, but I'll have to abandon it now that I know it's worthless.
