Hi, Corel Painter 2020 Crashes on Launch in my iMac with High Sierra (10.13.6). I click on the Painter launch icon, the face of the woman appears in the middle of the creen and immedately disappear. The only way to let it start is to launch it while clicking the "shift" button on the keyboard and choose "reset all workspace". In this way Painter 2020 starts but when I close it and re-open it it won't start again until I reset all workspaces again.
I have High Sierra updated to the latest software release.
I have Wacom drivers updated to the latest release.
I have already tried to unistall Painter 2020
I have cleaned all the chache of Painter 2020 after having uninstalled it.
With a fresh installation Painter 2020 start the first time, but after I close it it won't start again until I reset all workspaces again.
is it a trial version or did you purchase the product?
Could you please check the crash report and send me a copy to firstname.lastname@example.org
Email sent. Thank you
Thank you. I replied with few more questions.
BTW, did you run the Optimization test on your system? if yes could you please send me a screen capture for the results?
I had the exact same issue on my iMac 10.13.6. I interacted for days on end with Corel Tech Support to resolve. Tried all the usual things: reboot, reinstall, clear caches, update Wacom driver, remove Wacom all together, sent in crash logs, system profiles, etc., etc., but to no avail. Finally agreed to a remote session that ended disastrously two hours in when the Tech Support guy inadvertently removed my admin status on my account (which was the only admin account on my iMac). Had to spend another two hours with Apple Tech Support to restore my admin status. Quite a long day. In the end, P2020 never would re-open successfully, and I so I asked for (and received) a refund. Sad ending. I'll keep checking this forum in hope that a truly corrective action on my iMac, or a corrective update to P2020, is identified. Meanwhile, I'll continue with P2019, which works perfectly.
