I have a fairly disturbing problem in Corel Painter 2020. It always comes with the same manipulation, namely by clicking on "zoom adjusted to page" (Window - Zoom adjusted to page). For example, if my document is enlarged to 200% and I want to return to the page size (in my case 23.4%), Corel closes / crashes without warning so that I will lose my work if my work was not previously saved. As Corel Painter has no "auto save" function, danger is real. Do some of you have any suggestion? Thank you for your attention.
Under the "Windows" menu I have Zoom in, Zoom out, Zoom to fit and Actual size. I don't see a "Zoom adjusted to page" listed.
Thanks for your answer. I have the French version of Corel... But for your version, it should probably be "Zoom to fit" (what I've named by mistake "Zoom adjusted to page"
Miroux, when I get a bit of time I could try and see if I get the crash on my computers, but I'd need some more info first:
-What the size of your document? Is the document empty, or does it have some painting or illustration? If it is painted, what types of layers are in the document? Are they all default layers or do you have some shapes, impasto, thick paint, or other content?
-Are you on a Mac or PC?
-what is the document view mode? For example, are you using "Window > Single Document View" or "Window > Presentation Mode"?
-Does this crash happen every time you do the exact same thing? Or is the crash intermittent?
Let us know!
Thanks for your feedback.
Since my last message, the anomaly seems to be evolving. Now, it tends to appear randomly, not just with the "Zoom to Fit" commande. The worst scenario...
The day before yesterday was a disaster. I lot at least 1 hour of work. However, yesterday, I worked quite normally with Painter 2020.
I answer your questions:
Have you run the PC system performance check at startup? and what are the results? Are all categories of test OK green? Asking because it could be a video display card/driver....all up to date? Any similar issues using any other program?
