When I open a multi-layered TIF file in Painter, it opens as one layer - the top layer.
How do I open a multi-layered TIF file with the layers intact (not flattened)?
hey! i face the issue with the TIF file as this save high-quality graphic format basically i am creating a cover letter writing a template and i wanna save in TIF file. the reason i want this format is to save in an uncompressed file. i don't wanna save my file in jpeg because this is lossy compression. the best think about the TIF file is it allows no problem when there are some issues that come from other sites it's maintaining your quality remain.
As far as I know, Painter does not support the layered TIF format. Have you considered using the PSD format instead? It will hopefully support all the features you need.
Thank you for your reply, Stephen. Actually, PSD will not solve the problem either. That's the reason I tried TIFs in the first place. I found out that certain effects placed on a new layer is a PSD file will work while in painter, but once saved the effects are not and when the PSD file is opened in Photoshop, or even re-opened in painter itself, the effects that were applied to the layer in the PSD file are gone. So far the only thing that works (as opposed to saving in painter's native format), is to flatten all layers then save.
