When I paint with a brush the cursor disappears and as soon as I hover the pen over the tablet, the cursor comes back. Is there a way to keep the cursor on while painting?
I use Corel Painter 2021.
In the image below you see the shape of the Dab while I am hovering the pen over the tablet. But as soon as I draw the shape of the Dab disappears and is replaced by a small circle. I want to see the shape of the Dab while I am painting. In Photoshop, for example, while you paint you see the brush tip with whatever shape you selected for it and its size changes as you change the brush size, so if you increase the brush size, the brush shape appears bigger while painting.
First off, which version of Painter are you using? Secondly, since "cursor" gets used in various forms, are you talking about the dab? The enhanced brush ghost (which instead shows a circle and line indicating tilt, bearing, and rotation when hovering)? The icon? There are four options for Preferences / Brush Cursor and a few other settings.
I _think_ what Reze is looking for is this option: Menu > Preferences > Brush Cursor
Under "Cursor Type" Uncheck "Show icon when painting". Now the brush ghost will show as you paint!
Oops I meant to type "Reza".
The path to settings you suggested for me looks like this (Painter 2021). I cannot find "how icon when painting":
I modified the question. Does it help?
