In the middle of my latest painting the Digital Airbrush started behaving strange. If a paint a first layer it behaves normal. If I then add a new layer on top and paint there, the result is thick, textured and produces strange blotches and halos. I've been using painter intensively since 2013 and never have this occurred before. Tried all I could think of. All possible resets etc I am using painter 2020 on a MacBook Pro mid 2015(Catalina).
Since I paint for a living I am somewhat time strapped and will be sooooo ever grateful for any help.
I've found that problem with all versions of Painter. I sometimes work around it by switching to Photoshop, which does not have that problem. In the end it would be a lot easier if the airbrush tools worked like Photoshop.
Thank you for replying! I do see that as well now. After installing and trying out countless combinations of painter 18, 19, 20 and 2021 together with either Catalina or big sur on my Mac. Same thing everywhere. Perhaps I didn't notice before since I wasn't using the airbrush so extensively until lately. I n the end I have now resigned and modified some other r brushes to remedy the problem. Not that they really, really work as I want, but still.... Not painting is more frustrating that painting with faulty brushes. And hopefully I will grow as an artist from all of this.
