Does anyone know how to get the brushes I purchased via the website and was able to install into Corel 2021 to show up in Corel 2022? There are exe files that I paid for on Cleverbridge--I did not get them from inside the program.
The manual (???) says to choose Import > Brush Library but then when I go to the Painter 2021 brushes, it cannot find anything that has a .brushlibrary extension.
Corel support is a total disaster!!!! (actually, the term "corel support" is an oxymoron!!)
Can anyone help?
Since you purchased the brushes via website, the migration is slightly different.
Open Painter 2021. In the Brush selector, right click on your purchased brush pack - Click export category. Save to a folder on your computer.
Open Painter 2022. on the top level menu - Under brushes - Click on Import category - Find where you saved the brush category and Open. It will come into your Painter 2022 brush selector.
Repeat with other purchased brush packs.
Hope this helps!
Yes that is the best way....although consider making a new brush library for "purchased brushes" to keep them from "contaminating" the default P22 brush library. It is a personal choice as to how to organize brush libraries and categories.
AND...keep those xxx.brushcategory and/or xxx.brushlibrary files as you may want to import them again into P23 (unless you make changes in P22 for any of the brush categories ... in which case; export .brushlibraries from P22 for import to P23)
Just a guess on my part but I'd expect P23 to be released this summer.
Also, if you have installed the previous default brushes for Painter 11 thru Painter 21 (they are in P21 by default but not in P22 by default; but you can download and install them in P22.....export brushlibrary from Painter older and import to Painter newer if/when needed.
Just for convenience...if you have P21 installed, export the older default brush libraries to have them easily available in the future....because getting them into P22 is a lot of extra work using new downloads, whereas you already have them for P2X future from P21 exports.
Thanks so much! Just before I saw this, I got a call from Corel second-level support (sent my way via a complaint from Cleverbridge) and they installed all of the brushes for me. However, I am saving this reply in case I buy more brush sets.
Doug, thanks. I will do that! I think it is a good idea to keep those brushes separate.
